The 2022 Sail Canada 29er Youth Championships to kick off Thursday in Kingston

The event will be held August 4-7

Kingston, August 3, 2022 ‰ÛÒ Kingston, ON, will host the 2022 Sail Canada 29er Youth Championships, August 4-7, which are slated to take place along with the 2022 CORK International and 29er North American Championships.

A total of 17 Canadian teams will take part in the action as well as one team from Bermuda. Among them will be members of Team Canada who competed at the 2021 and 2022 Youth World Sailing Championships, Riley and Finlay Macaulay as well as Colin Gilley and Matthew Young, the latter having taken part in this year‰Ûªs event.

Races will be held according to the following schedule:

-Thursday, August 4: 3 races scheduled starting at 1pm

-Friday, August 5: 4 races scheduled starting at 11am

-Saturday, August 6: 4 races scheduled starting at 11am

-Sunday, August 7: 4 races scheduled starting at 11am

This event is the second of five Sail Canada Championships to be held this summer, all in Kingston, according to the following schedule:

-Sail Canada 49er and 49erFX Senior Championships: July 21-24

-Sail Canada 29er Youth Championships: August 4 to 7

-Sail Canada ILCA 4, ILCA 6, Club 420 and International 420 Youth Championships: August 9-12

-Sail Canada ILCA 6 and ILCA 7 Senior Championships: August 13-16

-Sail Canada Open Kiteboarding Senior Championships: August 18-21
