The 2020 49er, 49erFX, and Nacra 17 World Championships wraps up in Australia

The 2020 49er, 49erFX, and Nacra 17 World Championships wrapped up over the weekend in Geelong, Australia. Port Phillip Bay provided some challenging conditions with lots of shifty conditions. Due to high winds, sailors were stuck on shore for two days of the regatta, but members of the CSDS still managed to come out on top.

As part of the internal selection process for the 2020 Olympic Games, this event ranked high on the importance list for our sailors.

Ali Ten Hove and Mariah Millen proved that hard work pays off during the testing event. Finishing in 18th overall, the duo managed to beat a personal best leaving them in good standing going into the second part of their Olympic trial.
