Athlete Bio

Antonia Lewin-LaFrance is a Canadian sailor from Nova Scotia, competing in the 49erFX class alongside her sister, Georgia. She grew up sailing and racing in Nova Scotia and developed her passion for high-performance sport through the Chester Yacht Club and the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron. Alongside her competitive career, Antonia has a strong passion for coaching and developing young sailors, something that continues to shape her perspective as an athlete. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Dalhousie University.

Together, Antonia and Georgia represented Canada at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, finishing in 11th-place. The pair are World Championship bronze medallists, European champions, and multiple World Cup medallists, and are now campaigning toward the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. In recognition of their performances, Antonia and Georgia were named Rolex Sailors of the Year Award recipients.

Antonia is proud to represent the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, alongside the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron and the Chester Yacht Club. RVYC’s support brings this mission coast to coast, providing the leadership and standard of excellence needed to truly pursue an Olympic medal.
