Athlete Bio
Alexander Heinzemann started sailing at a young age and has been racing since he was 11 years old. Starting out in Optis and progressing through many different boats he has focused on the laser since he was 15. As a youth sailor Alexander had many accomplishments, including two Youth National titles that led him to represent Canada on an international stage at the ISAF Youth World Championships in 2009 and 2010. Alexander sails with partner Justin Barnes and is a member of the Canadian Sailing Development Squad.
