Royal Vancouver Yacht Club to host Sail Canada 2024 Sail West Championships

The competition will be held June 22-23

Kingston, May 10, 2024 – Sail Canada 2024 Sail West Championships will be held at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, June 22-23, during the “Waves Regatta”.

The Notice of race for this event will soon be available and registration will open in the coming weeks.

Sail West and the “Waves Regatta” are expected to welcome more than 100 sailors from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba in the 29er, Club 420, ILCA 4, ILCA 6, ILCA 7, Optimist and RS Feva classes. Athletes from other provinces may also take part in the competition.

Sail Canada Sail West event is part of a series of seven Sail Canada National and Regional Championships to be held this summer. These competitions provide an opportunity for sailors to train and compete with high-level sailors in their region, in addition to serving as talent identification opportunities for regional and provincial sailing teams, as development and mentoring opportunities for coaches, as well as training and development opportunities for officials and volunteers.
