Thanks to the support of the Sail For All funding grant from Sail Canada, Hollyburn Sailing Club was once again able to offer programs at no cost, for students from the North Vancouver School District. This was the second year the club has been able to run this initiative.
Students spent an unforgettable day on the water in English Bay, learning the basics of sailing, enjoying the fresh air, and experiencing the unique excitement of being out on the water. For many of the participants, this was their very first time trying sailing and an opportunity they likely would not have had without this funding. Throughout the day, there were countless comments from students saying it was the best day of school they had ever had. Parents and teachers echoed this enthusiasm, expressing how thrilled they were to see the kids engaged, active, and learning something completely new. Many have already shared how eager they are to participate again next year, reinforcing the lasting impact and value of this program.
