Tom Ramshaw hits a bullet after Day 1 of racing

Friday August 3rd, 2018 - Kingston, ON

Canadian Sailing Team Member, Tom Ramshaw (Finn) sails to a bullet on the first day of racing at the 2018 Sailing World Championships Aarhus in Denmark. Currently sitting in 2nd overall, Ramshaw is starting off strong and getting ahead of his competition for the week to come.

Laser Radial sailor, Sarah Douglas comes 4th in her second race of the day, placing her 16th on the scoreboard.

Sailors are competing for more than a medal at this event, as the Sailing World Championships are the first and largest qualification regatta for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. With 40% of the places being decided at this event, sailors will need to push hard to make their way up the scoreboard.
