In honour of Volunteer Week, Sail Canada would like to take a moment to show appreciation to all of the volunteers who make up our sport.
Volunteering is like a stone thrown in a lake: its effect has a direct impact. At the same time, like ripples, volunteer efforts reach out far and wide to improve communities.
Undeniably, Sail Canada volunteers lift our community!
Your contributions on and off the water are the key to the success of our organization. We celebrate Volunteer Week by saying ‘Thanks Eh!’
Recognize your volunteers by nominating them for the Volunteer of the Month!

About Volunteer Canada
Volunteer Canada was established to provide national leadership and expertise on volunteer engagement to increase the participation, quality, and diversity of volunteer experiences. Since 1977 we have collaborated closely with volunteer centres, businesses, non-profit organizations, government and educational institutions to promote and broaden volunteering. Our programs, research, training, tools, resources and national initiatives provide leadership on issues and trends in Canada’s volunteer landscape
About Sail Canada
Established in 1931, Sail Canada is the national governing body for the sport of sailing. The Association promotes sailing in all its forms including yachting through collaboration with our partners, the Provincial Sailing Associations, member clubs, schools, and many individual stakeholders.
