Kingston, April 13, 2026 – Sail Canada is excited to announce that the 2027 Regional and National Championships bids are now open! Deadline to apply is May 14.
Sail Canada’s Championships provide an opportunity for sailors to train and compete with sailors in their region and at the national level. The goals of these championships are to:
-Provide opportunities for development of competitive sailors, through valuable training & racing experiences;
-Provide development and mentoring opportunities to coaches;
-Deliver training and development opportunities for officials and volunteers;
-Build legacy in the host region for future event hosting through development of officials, volunteers, venues & local resources;
-Serve as a talent identification opportunity for regional and provincial sailing teams.
Member Clubs & Organizations interested in hosting a Sail Canada Championship are asked to complete the Sail Canada Championship Hosting Online Form at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSekBCzlr57JZ3g3J4P8e06Xw-DnP139V5_vk8FR5OSpycerNg/viewform.

-June 20-21: Sail West, Royal Vancouver Yacht Club
-July 10-12: Sail Central, Ashbridge’s Bay Yacht Club
-July 17-19: Sail East, St. Margaret Sailing Club
-August 11-15: Youth Fest (ILCA 4, 6, 7 and 29er) and Youth Championship (Club 420), CORK/Sail Kingston
-August 7-9: Senior Championships (Formula Kite), CORK/Sail Kingston
-September 1-4: Youth Championships (ILCA 4, 6, 7 and 29er), Royal Victoria Yacht Club
-September 25-27: Senior Championships (ILCA 6 & ILCA 7), CORK/Sail Kingston
