Brenda Bowskill’s dedication and world class skills were demonstrated at the 2017 Laser Radial World Championships in Medemblik were she finished 5th, marking an important milestone for Canadian World Championship performance. She contributes her success at the World Championships to putting in the time on the water with very focused training goals and with good international training partners, managed with just the right amount of time to be rested, fit and strong.

One of her main focuses for the World Championships was to stay composed regardless of the result and stay focused on what she had to do in the moment. Brenda is an internationally respected ambassador of the sport of sailing and a role model for those who aspire to follow in her footsteps.
