Canadians set for Palma!
Palma, Mallorca is set to host a record breaking number of sailors at the 46 Trofeo S.A.R Princesa Sofía. This international regatta, is the first major test of the European season and a qualifier event for ISAF Sailing World Cup Hyères. Entries are open to all Olympic Classes and the Paralympic 2.4mR class. Kiteboarding is also making its debut this week in Palma.
The Canadian Laser squad set to take on the largest fleet of the event (165 boats) including Robert Davis, Evert McLaughlin, Tom Ramshaw, Matt Ryder and most recent Pan Am qualifier Lee Parkhill. Fleet sizes across the board are robust and include Canadians such as Nacra team Luke Ramsay and Nikola Girke, 49er team Mori/Barnes, FX team Rafuse/Boyd, Radial sailor Claire Merry, Marti Robitaille in the Finn, 470 Saunders brothers and RSX sailors Jean-Sebastien Fugère & Laurence Bonneau-Charland.
Practice racing starts on Sunday March 29th through until medal race day on April 4th.
