Canadian’s hit the water strong at Youth Worlds!

Sailors were met with grey skies and variable winds for day one of racing at the 2017 Youth World Sailing Championships in Sanya, China.
An easterly breeze ranging from 6-12 knots was present on all four race courses across Sanya Bay.
The Canadian’s are off to a good start in the 420, 29er and Nacra 15 fleets, with Georgia Lewin-LaFrance & Madeleine Gillis sitting in 8th overall, and Pat Wilson and Arie Moffat in 14th in the 420.
In the 29er fleet Sam and Will Bonin are sitting in 11th overall and Helen and Teddy Horangic are currently in 12th in the Nacra 15 fleet.
With four days left in the event there is plenty of racing to come for all sailors in each class. Follow with live blogging, results and social media.
