Ahead of the 2026 Offshore Double Handed World Championship, a key event in the offshore sailing calendar, the Notice of Race has formally been published by World Sailing.
Held in Marseille, France, the event will run from 23 September to 2 October 2026, featuring up to 22 teams, showcasing the growing international appeal of offshore racing.
Sail Canada is seeking Canadian mixed Double Handed teams to represent the country in Marseille, France, this September. Interested teams are invited to submit a brief sailing résumé for each member, along with a statement detailing how they meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the Notice of Race. Submissions must be received by 16:00 EDT on Wednesday, May 20th 2026.
Sail Canada will select two teams to be forwarded as expressions of interest to the race organizer by June 1, 2026, in accordance with NOR 4.9, as part of the international selection process.
