Patrick was born in Kingston, Ontario although he spent most of his first 12 years in Syracuse NY. Each summer his family spent time at his Grandparents cottage and at the age of 9 Patrick discovered sailing at the Muskoka Lakes Golf and Country Club. When his family moved back to Kingston in 2011 he decided to take sailing a little more seriously and tried the learn to race program at Kingston Yacht Club.

Rob Frost was very instrumental in directing Patrick’s early sailing and Ontario Coach Chris Hewson provided excellent guidance. Patrick hooked up with Arie Moffat, a Laser sailor also in the KYC program, in the fall of 2014. That summer they joined the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron Race team under Head Race Agustin Ferrario and double handed coach Fede Lopez and never looked back.

Having won three straight Canadian Youth Double Handed Championships and represented Canada at the past two World Sailing Youth Worlds, Patrick and his partner Arie are looking forward to the future and working hard to continue to develop and represent Canada at future international sailing events.

This fall Patrick will be entering Dalhousie University, where he will continue to train and pursue sailing.
