5 Canadian Masters' Sailors finish top 3!
The Laser Masters’ World Championships came to an end in Kingston on Saturday after 6 days of racing and impressive sailing by the Canadian contingent.
Laser sailing veteran Al Clark wins the title of Radial Grand Master World Champion after moving from 3rd place into 1st in the last two days of racing. This is Clark’s second World Championship title at a Laser Masters’ World Championship! Fellow Canadian Robert Britten joined him on the podium taking 3rd place, finishing just 1 point behind the 2nd place sailor.
Tim Woodford and Rob Koci, also racing in the Laser Radial Grand Master division, finished 5th and 6th respectively.
Andy Roy, another great Canadian sailing veteran finished the event in 2nd in the Laser Standard Grand Master division.
Erika Vines of Kingston was named the female Radial Apprentice Champion.
Johan Van Rossen consistently dominated the Radial 75 and over division finishing in 2nd place, 20 points in front of the third place sailor.
