2015 Sail Canada AGM and Conference Wrap Up!
The 2015 Sail Canada Annual General Meeting and Conference concluded in Ottawa, Ontario on Saturday, October 31st after two productive days of meetings, open forums, and breakout and information sessions.

The 2015/2016 Board of Directors as elected by the membership:
President: Todd Irving

A message from the newly elected President, Todd Irving: "I am excited for the opportunity to work with the board, staff and volunteers of Sail Canada to make the organization stronger. Implementing Sail Canada's strategic plan requires all hands on deck from our partners, participants and athletes to help us improve our products and services. We aspire to become the world leading organization in developing sailors which will drive participation and podium results. Having a strong set of pathways to achieve the numerous pinnacles in our sport will help achieve these goals."
A special thank you to retiring President, Alan Lombard and retiring Directors at Large, John Kerr and Christine Searle for their many years of service and dedication to sailing in Canada.

Leading up to the AGM & Conference, Sail Canada hosted the Provincial Sailing Association Executive Directors meeting, Partners’ meeting and Development Coaches meeting. While the Training and Certification committee along with members of the CANSail and Cruising Panels met throughout the weekend with agendas focused on both Sailor and Instructor programming as we move towards 2016.
