Starting at age 12, David wasn’t sure he liked windsurfing, but with his brother racing and his family always on the water David stuck to it. By the age of 14, he could get on the same board as his mentors. Once he picked up speed, he was hooked. Now that he is on the Canadian Sailing Team, David is sailing an international circuit. His favourite places to sail are still in Canada, though – Squamish, Kingston, the Toronto Windsurfing Club, and his cottage ‘when it blows’. David also enjoys hockey, lacrosse, volleyball, skateboarding, surfing, music, and time with his friends.
David sailed for Canada at the 2006/2007 Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championships, in the RS:X Board, Male Class.
