Detroit, Michigan -- June 2, 2011
Regatta Network®, Inc., one of the leading sailing event management services is celebrating the milestone of processing 100,000 registrations.
The milestone was celebrated today at the Sperry Top-Sider NOOD Regatta at the Bayview Yacht Club in Detroit.  The 100,000th registrant, Claudio Martin of London, Ontario received a full refund of his registration fee in a ceremony during the competitor’s briefing Thursday night.
"For over five years, US SAILING Regatta Network has been proud to sponsor the Sperry Top-Sider NOOD Regattas," said Ken Taylor, President of Regatta Network, Inc. "We’re thrilled that one of their participants has helped us achieve our goal of processing 100,000 registrants through our system."
Sailing events today run on data: data about the event, data about the sailors and their boats and data about the races and results. Regatta Network helps event organizer manage this flood of data by capturing relevant information about each entrant with an easy-to-use, template-driven registration system.
Since 2007, Regatta Network has partnered with US SAILING to provide a co-branded online registration and event management solution designed specifically for sailing events as US SAILING Regatta Network. Regatta Network also partnered with the Canadian Yachting Association in 2010 to provide registration and event management for their championships.
In addition to regatta registration, Regatta Network provides online registration for sailing camps and classes, a membership management system for regional yacht racing associations and one design classes, free event web sites, and an online store system for the sales of meals, merchandise, raffle tickets or charters associated with its events.
