OTTAWA, ON – July 5, 2013 – Canadian Wildlife Federation with Sail Canada are pleased to announce the production of new training and orientation resources to add to CANSail programming activities this summer.

The initiative allows Sail Canada Instructors to provide children and youth opportunity to discover the natural world through the sport of sailing. An Instructor resource manual and Sailor’s checklist are offered to registered CANSail Instructors and Registered CANSail Training Sites bringing basic environmental content to sailing courses across Canada this summer.

Getting outdoors is the starting point for our interaction with wildlife, and sailing is a fantastic way to explore the longest national coastline in the world, not to mention the thousands of navigable lakes and rivers we have in Canada.
