CANSail 3 & 4 Instructor Wanted

Queen City Yacht Club is taking applications for the 2013 sailing season. QCYC is located on the beautiful Toronto Islands with access to Toronto Harbour and Lake Ontario. For generations, Torontonians have sent their young sailors to QCYC to learn and enjoy summer.

Our primary focus for our intermediate Learn to Sail program is a high quality of teaching and a fun experience for kids on and off the water. We are looking for an energetic, innovative, and independent teacher who will be fully committed to upholding an exceptional CANSail 3 & 4 program quality.

Due to the small size of our program, we are looking for someone who is extremely comfortable with the CANSail 3 & 4 curriculum and is confident in their ability to take initiative to plan a successful, and fun session with the goal of sailor success and growth. You will be working alongside our Head Instructor to achieve this.

Along with a valid CANSail 3 & 4 certification, ideal certifications include a minimum of 2 years experience in a reputable learn-to-sail program and a Toronto Port Authority Operators Permit (Toronto Harbour License).

A successful candidate will join our existing team full-time starting July 2nd, 2013 until August 23rd, 2013. Part-time spring and fall work is available to be discussed.
