Bedford Basin Yacht Club was established in 1953 at the head of Halifax Harbour. BBYC is a family oriented yacht club with an emphasis on sailing, racing and sail training programs for juniors and adults.

Bedford Basin Yacht club is currently looking to hire instructors for the 2012 sailing season. Applicants should possess a real passion for sailing, a heightened concern for safety on the water, strong communication and organizational skills. They should have experience in a leadership role and a minimum of 2 years of sailing instruction experience.
Start Date: June 2012
End Date: September 2012
- CYA Green instructor level preferably higher
- 40 hour work week
- Current First Aid & CPR (or equivalent) certification
- Current holders of Pleasure Craft Operators Card
- Comfortable communicating with parents
- Junior and adult sailing instruction
