The Canadian Yachting Association is pleased to announce the hiring of Jamie Gordon on a contract basis to manage the project of update and development of Keelboat, Cruising and Powerboat programming. The focus of this Training Project Manager position will be to enhance the support provided to the existing programs, and to lead the establishment of a renewed framework for this programming – a large piece of the Sailing for Life stage of our Long Term Sailor Development Framework. Jamie will liaise with CYA’s stakeholders in the delivery of these programs, and with external organizations including Transport Canada and Canadian Power Squadron.
Jamie has been a CYA Cruising Instructor for more than 20 years and has been involved with the technical aspects of the CYA’s Learn to Cruise/Power standards for much of that time. He is a CYA certified Senior Cruising and Powerboating Instructor Evaluator and a RYA Yachtmaster Offshore (Sail) Instructor and Examiner.
