The International Sailing Federation published its latest sailor ranking in the Olympic Classes and Michael Leigh of Royal Vancouver Yacht Club (RVanYC) was ranked 1st in the Laser Class. Chris Cook of Royal Canadian Yacht Club (RCYC) was ranked 8th in the Finn while Gordon Cook (RCYC) and Ben Remocker (RVanYC) ranked 15th in the 49er. Nikola Girke and Zac Plasvic of (RVanYC) were ranked 14th and 19th respectively in the Women’s and men’s RX Sailboard. Other Canadians ranked in the top 50 of their respective classes include:
Lisa Ross ranked 18th in the Women’s Laser Radial Class
Brian Cramer and Tyler Bjorn/Matt Johnston ranked 23rd in the Star Class
Abe Torchinsky ranked 33rd in the Laser Class
Dominique Vallée ranked 39th in the Women's RSX Class
David Wright ranked 40th in the Laser Class
Jenn Provan and Carole Luttmer ranked 40th in the Women’s 470 Class
Bernard Luttmer ranked 43rd in Laser Class
Stephane Locas and Oliver Bone ranked 49th in Men’s 470 Class
Bill Gooderham and Ian Hogan ranked 49th in the 49er Class
